Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards (JDE) ReportNow Developer with strong expertise in building, enhancing, and supporting ReportNow reports across Finance and Sales & Distribution (S&D) business functions. The ideal resource has hands-on experience designing operational and analytical reports, understands key JDE tables and data structures, and can collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient, user-friendly, upgrade-safe reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
ReportNow Development
- Design, build, modify, and optimize reports using JDE ReportNow tools and capabilities.
- Create operational, financial, and S&D reports including dashboards, detail-level documents, KPIs, and exception-based reporting.
- Develop custom layouts, data presentations, and logic leveraging JDE data structures.
Functional Reporting Expertise
- Partner with Finance teams to deliver reports for:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
- Financial statements
- Revenue, margin, and cost reporting
- Partner with Sales & Distribution teams to deliver reports for:
- Order-to-Cash
- Sales activity and booking/billing metrics
- Inventory, pricing, shipping, and fulfillment
- Customer-level and item-level reporting
Data Analysis & Mapping
- Identify required JDE E1 tables, joins, and data relationships for accurate reporting.
- Perform data validation, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Work closely with functional SMEs to refine logic and ensure business alignment.
Support & Enhancements
- Troubleshoot performance issues, incorrect data outputs, or formatting problems.
- Enhance existing reports based on business feedback and evolving requirements.
- Ensure all reports follow JDE best practices, remain upgrade-safe, and integrate with security roles.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Prepare technical documentation, data maps, test plans, and user guides.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, IT, and PMO stakeholders.
- Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with JDE ReportNow development.
- Strong understanding of JDE E1 Finance and Sales & Distribution (S&D) data and business processes.
- Proficiency in extracting, mapping, and validating data from JDE E1 tables.
- Prior experience building financial statements, operational sales reports, inventory reports, dashboards, and analytics within ReportNow.
- Ability to analyze requirements and transform them into optimized reporting solutions.
- Strong knowledge of JDE table structures, OCM mappings, joins, and reporting logic.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to data integrity.
- Strong communication and ability to work with distributed teams.
- Willingness to travel 10–15% as needed.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with UBE/BI Publisher or Orchestrator reporting integrations.
- Exposure to distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain business models.
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-country reporting environments.
- JDE E1 functional knowledge in Finance or S&D modules.
